Turin – Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri revealed its target in this season. According to him, the season Juve could be called good if able to retain the Scudetto and qualify for the Champions League quarterfinals.
Earlier in the care of Antonio Conte, Juventus has scored a hat-trick Scudetto. Now with the Bianconeri Allegri was still okay at the domestic level after leading the league standings with three points advantage ahead of nearest rivals, AS Roma.
However, Juventus are still oversized in Europe. After reaching the quarter-finals in 2012-13, ‘Old Lady’ slumped to a knocked out in the group stages after one season. Their position in this season was not that great.
The new Juventus collected six points and sit in third place in the under Olympiakos and Atletico Madrid in the standings of Group A. The two remaining games will be decisive break-out La Vecchia Signora.
“How can a good season I think? Scudetto and the Champions League knockout phase,” said Allegri told Gazzetta dello Sport. “I want to reinforce Juventus among the eight top clubs in Europe.”
“Of course we know we can not compete financially with the big clubs are dominating at the moment. But we are ready to make good progress.”
“You never know what can happen, once you arrive in the next round,” continued the former pembesut Cagliari and AC Milan.
“We are calm, everything is in our hands and we move forward with the correct tension. I do not just think about the break-out, I believe we were able to win the group and avoid a potential lottery difficult in the next round.”
