Milan – Former Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti claimed to have no role in the dismissal anything Walter Mazzarri. Moratti also welcomed the return of Roberto Mancini to Inter.
Mazzarri lost his job as Inter coach after he was officially fired on Friday (11/14/2014). 53-year-old man was held responsible for the performance of the Nerazzurri are erratic lately.
Before firing Mazzarri, Inter president now, Erick Thohir, a meeting with Moratti earlier this week. Erick and Moratti reportedly Mazzarri discuss the fate of the meeting.
However, Moratti has denied he is recommending dismissal Mazzarri. According to him, Erick was already considered it before.
“Would I recommend Thohir to fire? Thohir already thinking about doing it,” said Moratti was quoted by the Italian Football.
“I‘m sorry for Mazzarri, who must have been trying to do the best for us (Inter),” he added.
Inter did not take long to get a replacement Mazzarri. They reportedly has appointed Mancini as allenatore brand-new.
Mancini previously coached Inter in the period 2004-2008. He presents three Scudetto, two Coppa Italia trophies, and two Italian Super Cup trophy for the Beneamata.
“I’m happy for Mancini. He is the coach of Inter when I won my first scudetto. She is very talented and is a hard worker,” said Moratti.
“What should he do? I do not know. It‘s up to him,” he said.
