Garcia: Doumbia Has Been Tested, Ibarbo Could Be A Champion

Rome – Roma coach Rudi Garcia enthusiastically welcomed the arrival of two new players, Seydou Doumbia and Victor Ibarbo. He believes they can make a real contribution to the future.

Rome officially get two new striker in the transfer market this winter. After removing Mattia Destro to AC Milan, they hook Doumbia from CSKA Moscow and followed Ibarbo of Cagliari.

Doumbia hired permanently by the value of the transfer, which reportedly amounted to 14.4 million euros plus 1.5 million euros in bonuses clause. While Ibarbo brought in on loan until the end of the season with a value of 2.5 million euros, but there is an option mempermanenkan with funds amounting to 12.5 million euros.

Both are expected to sharpen the line of attack Rome. Especially now in the middle of the chart Giallorossi less slick, just picking a draw in the last four games.

Problem Doumbia, Garcia believes the record goal Ivory Coast striker was enough to be used as evidence of sharpness. Transfermarkt Doumbia recorded 83 goals scored in 129 games over with CSKA. But Rome had to be patient to play it because Doumbia still with the national team in the African Cup.

“There’s nothing to say about Doumbia. Figures statistics have shown. At the end of the next week, he will return from the African Cup along with Gervinho,” said Garcia to Rome Radio quoted by Football Italia.

While Ibarbo, despite his scoring record is not sementereng Doumbia, still quite young and considered a good potential. Colombian international striker 24-year-old in this season scoring two goals and five assists from 14 competitive matches in all competitions.

There is a chance he could immediately play when Roma host Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals on Wednesday (04/02/2015) pm dawn.

“For me, Ibarbo could be a champion. But I still have to consider whether he’s ready to play immediately. I’m not going to take any chances with him. If he can help us tomorrow, then he will play. But I still have to see it,” said Garcia.
